Continuity mistake: When Hugh Grant writes "Protagonist" on the board, the writing changes depending on the shot, most noticeably the G - sometimes it looks a bit like a backwards question mark, other times it's so slanted it looks more like an S.

The Rewrite (2014)
Directed by: Marc Lawrence
Starring: Marisa Tomei, Allison Janney, Hugh Grant, Aja Naomi King, Enid Graham, Vanessa Wasche, Whit Baldwin
Continuity mistake: The second time Hugh Grant writes on the board (not "protagonist" - can't remember the word!) the writing changes between shots - most noticeably a C in the middle, which sometimes has a small loop at the top, sometimes not.
Trivia: Writer/director Marc Lawrence went to Binghamton University.
Trivia: The award speech Hugh Grant watches his younger self give is his actual speech when he won the Golden Globe for Four Weddings and a Funeral, with extra plot-specific lines added.
Trivia: Professor Weldon says people think she's an "Elinor" from Sense and Sensibility. Keith says he knows the character. Hugh Grant played Elinor's love interest in the 1995 film.
Keith: Although I was only gone for a few hours, I found myself missing you. Now, it's quite possible that if I'd stayed away a few more hours I'd have just completely got over that, but now we'll never know.
Holly Carpenter: Hey! I'm driving you home.
Keith Michaels: Wow. This is a full service restaurant.
Holly Carpenter: Well, you had two glasses and you had two at the bar. And if you die I don't get to take your course and it's gonna screw up my whole schedule.
Keith Michaels: What about my car?
Holly Carpenter: It's a Hyundai. It'll be there in the morning.
Jim: When I was younger, I thought having the perfect Shakespeare quote for every situation would make me beloved.
Keith Michaels: It's surprisingly unhelpful.
Jim: Yeah, it seems to really annoy people.
