Continuity mistake: In the overhead shot of the cat in the tree with the old lady, you can see the small stairs behind the lady with nothing beside them but a tree. It cuts to the cat in the tree then to the lady, and suddenly two trashcans appear beside the stairs under the window. The tree is not big enough to have covered both of them up in the previous shot. Continuity mistake: When we first see the old woman with her cat stuck in a tree, it's a higher angle showing the cat. This shot shows the cat is near the center of the tree on the left side of the tree, right where the tree splits off into two even sides. But then it cuts to a close up of the cat, and suddenly the cat is further out on a much smaller branch, and now on the other side of the tree as can tell by the way the limb is shaped. (00:49:55)
Continuity mistake: Once Lois arrives at the scene of Toyman's death, she sees the police car he is on with people all around but no barricades. Then when the camera shows a top down view after she walks away, suddenly there are police barricades all around blocking people away. (00:49:25)
Continuity mistake: When Lois pushes her way through a crowed to see where Toyman was killed, she pushes buy a blond guy with a camera that has a badge like thing attached to his shirt, my guess is a press pass. After she sees Jimmy on the other side and then it cuts back to her, suddenly the press pass on this guy has changed shape slightly and is smaller, and lower down on his shirt. (00:49:15)
Continuity mistake: In the shot where Toyman hits the police car and is killed by Dark Superman, there is the police crest on the door and the headlights have no distinguishable blinkers. It cuts to Superman flying off then back to Toyman and now the door is blank, and the headlights have blinkers. Also another police car appears behind the vehicle that was not there. (00:48:45)
Continuity mistake: After Superman wakes up and sees the robot reviving him, the camera pulls back to a far shot to show him on an operating table with a machine beside him on each side, and a board with digital display behind the robot. When it cuts to Superman's perspective of the robot, the machine to his left changes shape some, and the display on the board is a little different, most noticeably the part in the bottom middle has a pointed corner instead of a cut off corner. Continuity mistake: When Superman first wakes up back at the Fortress of Solitude after his body is recovered by his robot, the first thing be sees is the robot looking down at him. In that shot, the 4 lines that form the robot's mouth are much thicker than any time before, and they are unevenly spaced and shaped. (00:47:10)
Continuity mistake: After Lex discovers Superman's body is missing, the scene changes to Superman's robot having his body in a revival chamber, healing him. There are pipes and a panel on the side of the container. When it cuts to the robot, then back to the chamber from a different angle, there is now more space between the panel and the pipes. And now the pipes are not bending to go straight down but diagonally to the left towards a machine. (00:46:15)
Continuity mistake: Jimmy picks up the newspaper Lois hands him and sees the picture of Lex and Superman together. He says "Okay weird." Then the camera changes angles and now the shapes on the back of the paper are a little different, most notably the large box next to Jimmy's right hand vanishes. (00:45:25)
Continuity mistake: When Lois says maybe it's reporter's nose or woman's intuition, she reaches into her purse. Jimmy is looking at her but his body is facing to the side. It cuts to a different angle as he speaks and suddenly his full body is facing her. (00:45:15)
Continuity mistake: Jimmy says, "Speaking of change, how about the Big S?"and then walks off camera. The camera changes and suddenly Lois has moved forward closer to the wall. (00:45:00)
Continuity mistake: After Lois tells Jimmy that she doesn't like who he may think he has become, the buckle on his camera strap changes and the size of his necklace becomes smaller. (00:44:55)
Continuity mistake: As Lois is dragging Jimmy away from the Nite Club by his ear, he raises his right arm for a moment. It cuts to an aerial view of this and suddenly his arm is down. (00:44:35)
Continuity mistake: Once Jimmy sees Lois outside the Nite Club, he comments on what she is wearing. In the first shot, he has the strap of his camera around his neck and down his chest. It cuts to a close up as he makes his remark and suddenly the strap is gone. Then in the next shot after Lois grabs him by his earring, the strap is back, but only over one shoulder. Also in the shot where the strap vanishes, the people around him instantly change around. (00:44:30)
Continuity mistake: When the girls get out of the car in front of the Nite Club, there are photographers roped off from the sides of the entrance. There are only 3 poles holding up the rope on either side of the entrance parallel to the walk way. But in the close up as the girls are walking to the door, they pass 4 poles. (00:44:20)
Continuity mistake: After Lois gets off the phone with Martha, the scene changes to just outside the Nite Club. A car pulls up and two girls get out, a blond and a redhead. When they get out in the high shot, the blond is on the right and the redhead on the left. Then it cuts to a frontal close up of the girls and they switch positions. (00:44:15)
Continuity mistake: As Lois is dragging Jimmy, by his ear ring, into the ally beside the Nite Club, it cuts to a different view from inside the ally. And suddenly a street light pole appears next to the building, the side walk is much thinner, the ledge outside the window on the red building vanishes, and the lighting on the side walk changes. As well as an additional row of panes appear on the yellow window. (00:44:40)
Continuity mistake: After getting out of the car, two girls walk up to the Nite Club past some photographers. As they do, it cuts to a close up of the photographers, and suddenly the blond guy with the backwards black ball cap has his camera lowered instantly, and the guy in the gray suit beside him suddenly turns into Jimmy. Continuity mistake: When Lois is on the phone with Martha Kent, the guy she was awkwardly staring at moments before is seen in his cubicle where Clark once was. A paper suddenly appears pinned on the wall next to his painting. (00:43:55)
Continuity mistake: There are some papers pinned to the wall of Lois cubicle as she is awkwardly staring at the new co-worker that is in Clark's spot. A bit later when she answers the phone to Martha Kent, the papers have moved closer to the edge of the cubicle wall. (00:43:55)
Chosen answer: When they call Doomsday a machine, they don't mean a literal machine. Just that he was built/designed. The comics were much the same. Doomsday was created by placing a baby on the most dangerous planet in the universe, and cloning that baby every time it died, forcing it to adapt. Doomsday eventually escaped this torture.
