Continuity mistake: When Butch is chasing Tom, Tom puts a flowerpot on a swing which crashes into Butch and it leaves earth on the floor. But when Butch uses a guitar to spank Tom when he comes down on the swing, the earth has completely disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Butch finds he has a letter delivered from a Dame, his fur is coloured black. When Butch reads the letter aloud in the next shot, his fur is grey.

Continuity mistake: When Tom pushes Butch on the lounger when he is singing to Toodles, you can see that Butch is holding a guitar in his left hand when Tom stops at the diving board, but when Butch comes crashing down on the board in the next shot, the guitar is nowhere to be seen.

Continuity mistake: When Butch opens the envelope that Jerry has dropped in his home, he drops the envelope on the floor. But after reading the letter, we cut back to Butch and the envelope is nowhere to be seen.

Revealing mistake: When Tom is sitting by the window looking at Toodles at the start of the cartoon, his tail is missing.

Continuity mistake: When Toodles is lying on the sunbed, she takes off her sunglasses at one point, but when she drops a small handkerchief for Tom to pick up, her glasses are nowhere to be seen.

Continuity mistake: Before going over to Toodles' house, Butch cuts his toenails short with a pair of clippers, but when he arrives at the house, his toenails are fully grown again.

Trivia: When Jerry finds Butch in the alley, we hear Butch humming a song. The song he is humming is "Over the Rainbow" from the film "The Wizard of Oz."
