Continuity mistake: When Sally is disturbed by the resemblance of her friend, who was recently killed and then her body was stolen from the morgue, to the wax figure of Joan of Arc, she reaches up to touch the left side of the face, but when Vincent Price turns up, she is touching the right side of her face.
9. 6/10. The better of two movies that are set within a wax museum. Vincent Price, one of the masters of horror, invokes a villain of both horror and sympathy. That's an accomplishment rarely done nowadays if only a few times. Here he owns the movie and makes it not only a horror masterpiece but one that could easily fit in with Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes in a crossover movie.
Prof. Henry Jarrod: Once in his lifetime, every artist feels the hand of God, and creates something that comes alive.
Trivia: Even though the film was made in 3-D, director Andre de Toth could not see the effect as he was blind in one eye.
