Continuity mistake: Towards the beginning of the movie, Gerry's son spills hot coffee all over Gerry's shirt. He is wearing a white shirt/vest for his uniform. There is no stain or even wetness left behind.

Trivia: When the aliens are trying to escape from area 51, the general calls for two of his men to stop Gary. Their names are James and Cameron, ie. referencing director James Cameron.
