Continuity mistake: When the girls go to visit Sam's grandma, she has only two glasses of lemonade ready. When she sees the other girls, she says 'Let's find some more glasses.' She's away for about five seconds and comes back with five full glasses. Are we expected to believe she got to the kitchen, got the three extra glasses and filled them with lemonade all in five seconds?
Continuity mistake: The positions of Chrissy, Teeny and Sam change in every shot, as they splash about in the water.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the four girls are at the door of the fortune teller, if you look at Christina Ricci's pants, they change completely between shots.
Revealing mistake: After the girls have seen the boys skinny dipping in the pond and have stolen their clothes, the boys run after them. Devon Sawa bends down to pick up his underwear but you can see he has a flesh coloured "modesty pouch" on under his towel, when he is supposed to be naked.
Continuity mistake: When Roberta is fighting the boy at the game, in one shot she's pulling back her right hand to backhand him across the face and then the next its her hand is pulled back to punch him.
Other mistake: When the girls are in the diner and Chrissy is counting money, you see a picture of the tree house in a tree, it is the same tree as the one the girls use after they buy the tree house.
Factual error: In the tree house Sam and Teeny are talking about families and mention the Partridge Family. "The Partridge Family" would not debut until September 1970, but the movie is set in the summer of 1970.
Continuity mistake: When the girls ride away and scatter the boys' clothes on the ground, a truck is visible on the road in the background. When the boys run after the girls, the truck is gone.
Continuity mistake: At the softball game, Roberta steps up to bat and Scott Wormer, who's pitching, tells the fielders to "move it in". As he turns around between shots the boy in blue to his right is leaning forward and then the next he's upright and then leans forward again.
Continuity mistake: During the Red Rover game in the 70's, the girls all turn around and Sam announces they're going to pick Bobby Fricker. As they turn around, Chrissy is looking at Sam, but then the next shot she's facing Roberta and then turns to Sam and objects.
Continuity mistake: When Teeny hurls the Wormers' undies into the air, the shorts are white briefs. However, when Scott runs to grab them, they're floral-print with an elastic waistband.
Continuity mistake: During the movie, the length of Chrissy's hair keeps changing.

Deliberate mistake: When Roberta copies the article about her mothers death, the machine obviously copies the page too fast. It copies it immediately, yet in the 1970's copy printers were incredibly slow.
