Audio problem: Anna is at Will's place to take refuge from the press. In the morning he opens the door, unaware of any trouble, and faces a yelling and hooting crowd of reporters. Then he shuts the door, and you don't hear a thing, although the door looks anything but soundproof. (01:18:55)
Notting Hill (1999)
1 audio problem
Directed by: Roger Michell
Starring: Julia Roberts, Hugh Grant, Rhys Ifans, Tim McInnerny, Dylan Moran, James Dreyfus, Richard McCabe
Continuity mistake: In one scene in the bookstore, there are three copies of a guide to Germany on the table next to Hugh Grant. In one clip, there are three spines, in the next two of the books have been turned round.
Anna Scott: I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.
Trivia: The house with the blue door (William's residence) was formerly the home of the movie's screenplay writer, Richard Curtis.
Question: When Bernie kisses the random reporter near the end of the movie, does anyone know if that was a scripted moment? She looks genuinely surprised.

Answer: According to this site, it was planned. http://nldslab.soe.ucsc.edu/charactercreator/film_corpus/film_2012xxxx/imsdb.com/Notting-Hill.html They both smile - suddenly the press gets what's going on - music - noise - they all turn and flash, flash, flash photos of William. Max and Bella kiss. Bernie kisses a total stranger. Spike finally makes it - he's bright red from running.
