The Rum Diary

Factual error: Near the end of the movie, when they go to steal the boat, there is a Puerto Rican flag in the front of the boat. This flag has the royal blue triangle, instead of the light blue that would have been in the 1960's such as all the other big flags used on poles.

Factual error: The movie is set in 1960, but the small plane towing the banner has distinctive aftermarket high-performance wingtips that weren't introduced until the 1970s.

Visible crew/equipment: When they are driving in the car you can see the crew in the sunglasses of Johnny Depp. It is obvious they are sitting in the backseat behind the driver and pointing the camera at him.
