Dr. Trace and Peter destroy the Kirin chip, but Jobe has become powerful enough to support his virtual reality world by the power of his mind. Trace and Jobe fight it out in virtual reality, and Trace eventually wins the fight, causing Jobe's world to explode. Afterwards, Trace and Peter manage to find Jobe in Walker's lab - it turns out that the destruction of the virtual world has wiped out Jobe's powers and caused him to revert to his original, mentally handicapped persona. Trace takes over the Walker Company, and Peter promises to take care of Jobe for the rest of his days.
