Magneto kills Shaw against Xavier's wishes. Moira tries to shoot Magneto, but he deflects the bullet and it hits Xavier in the back, paralyzing him. Magneto escapes with Angel, Azazel, Riptide, and Mystique in tow. Xavier is put in a wheelchair and opens up his mansion as a School for Gifted Youngsters. He erases Moira's memory so she won't blab and she is disgraced by the CIA. Magneto and co. break Emma Frost out of prison.
