Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film where Metro Man is addressing Metro City, he asks them if they know what the greatest honour they have given him is. When he asks this he is standing at the edge of a pond. But once he tells them what it is, he is suddenly standing in the middle of the pond.

Suggested correction: If you look at the clip, you do see him at the edge of a pond, however, you also see him walking towards the middle, so it's reasonable that he walked that far that fast.

Stupidity: For some reason, Roxanne didn't realise Tighten was Hal until after he took off his mask. Nor did she recognise Megamind's voice when he was disguised as Bernard.

Suggested correction: This is a very common trope in superhero and comic stories, with even a prime example being Superman wearing glasses as Clark.

Continuity mistake: When Megamind activates different "torturing devices" on Roxanne, She mentions about the spider and Megamind comes near her but that would be impossible because it wasn't shown that Megamind deactivated the Alligator trap.

Trivia: When Megamind as Bernard is in the library with Roxanne, the book he is reading ("Megamind Unmasked") has a description on the back of a self-help book entitled "The Happiest Me I Can Be". This is the same book that Metroman read (shown later in flashback) that caused him to decide to cease to be a hero. (00:43:30 - 01:08:30)

Question: When Metro Man admits to Mega Mind and Roxanne what really happened at the observatory, he tells them that everybody had something he didn't have, which was a choice. What did Metro Man mean he didn't have a choice? He chose to become a superhero and use his powers to help people.

Answer: When it was discovered he had superpowers, everyone assumed he would become a superhero. What else would he be - a super delivery man, garbage man or a super plumber?
