John ends up with Mandy and stays in Savannah, Chablis says they're buddies, and Jim Williams gets off, but he ends up having a heart attack and dying. The very last scene is Jim Williams on the floor of his study (directly adjacent to were Danny fell when Jim shot him) and he raises his head and sees Danny lying there and Danny raises his head and smiles at him.
