The final two survivors, Clay and Whitney, manage to chain Jason up, stab him with his own machete, and send him through the wood chipper. The scene fades into dawn, where Clay and Whitney rest on the boating dock on Crystal Lake. Ignorantly, they dump Jason's body, his mask, and his mother's locket into the lake. All is well until seconds later when Jason breaks through underneath the dock, attacking Whitney. Then, the credits roll.

Trivia: Filmmakers were reluctant to cast actor Derek Mears in the role of Jason Voorhees because he's a very nice person in real life.
Question: It appears Jason has upsized his shack in this version. He now lives in an abandoned house instead of a rundown shack we see in Part 2. Plus the house has an extensive tunnel system. Finally, where does the electric bill get sent?
Answer: It's possible that he has a generator.
Where did he get the generator from? Home Depot?
Answer: It's the former summer camp. I would believe they had a generator or two.
