The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Benjamin, who is physically a baby but is mentally an old man, dies in the year 2003. Daisy (Cate Blanchett) dies two years later in a hospital; her last words are "Good night, Benjamin" and a hummingbird appears outside the window. Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans. Scenes are shown of some of the people that Benjamin met throughout his life: Queenie, the woman who taught him to play the piano, his father Thomas, Daisy, Captain Mike, etc. Benjamin (Brad Pitt) narrates that some people are born to do different things: to be mothers, know Shakespeare, to dance, know about music, etc. The last scene shows a storage room starting to flood and in the room is the old clock that runs backwards (made by Gateau at the beginning of the film). The camera moves closer to the clock and its shown that it still works...

Benjamin Button: Some people were born to sit by a river. Some get struck by lightning. Some have an ear for music. Some are artists. Some swim. Some know buttons. Some know Shakespeare. Some are mothers. And some people dance.

Benjamin leaves his family at some point after his daughter's first birthday (1970), and definitely before her second birthday. But a 1973-1977 El Camino is parked in front of their house as he rides away on his motorcycle.

Shiloh (Brad Pitt's daughter) has a cameo in his movie.
