Other mistake: About a third of the way into the film when Nick leaves school and is running home he gets hit by a car and run over by a truck. Before both events the vehicles horns can be heard, as if the drivers are warning Nick to get out of the road. If Nick was invisible there would be no reason for them to honk their horns at all.

Continuity mistake: When the police find Nick, his body is half submerged in the water. When the cop points him out, he's on top of the rocks, not covered by any water at all.
Nick Powell: Do you remember when my dad died? The first thing she said to me was, don't worry about it Nick, this won't change a thing for you. I'm like 13 right, all I want to do is cry, and she's thinking about my future? She's always had it mapped out. You know I stay here, I might as well retire and die. I mean my dad didn't even get to retire, he was 46 when he got sick... I'm not going to let her do that to me.
