When Mike first enters room 1408, there are three light switches on the wall. He flicks on two of them. A few seconds later, you see the switches behind him, but it is two different switches that have been flicked.

The blood stain on the bath's curtains differs between shots.

In the scene Where Mike Eslin's hotel room has frozen over and he is laying on the floor talking into his recorder he notices his computer turns on and his wife is talking to him. As Mike tries to get up you see his head touch the alcohol bottle, in the next shot that is further away from Mike you see the bottle is much further away from his head then it should be.

When Mike reaches the phone and hears the operator asking if he is checking out, the phone on the table swaps from facing down to up between shots.

While Mike is presenting his book, the cigarette on his ear is semi-hidden by his hair. Half a second later the hair appears shorter and the cigarette is visible.

Mike enters the hotel and a woman in the back, sitting next to the woman with the pram, disappears between shots.

### Mistakes

As Mike scrolls through the microfilm, we see his view as the pages scroll from right to left. The shot then reverses to show his face through the scrolling film, but while the film is now properly reversed, it's still moving right to left in our view. But this reversed angle should show it moving left to right. (00:12:05)

### Questions

When Mike gets a postcard about the Dolphin and room 1408, he writes on the back for a moment as he figures something in his head and circles a (=13). He then says cute. How exactly did he figure 13 from 1408? I am confused by that part.

Chosen answer: He sums up the individual numbers: 1+4+0+8 = 13.
