Factual error: We see Jamie at his karate graduation as a yellow belt. In the scene where his dad apologizes for missing it, he picks up Jamie's new belt, which is purple. Although the order of belt ranks varies by discipline and by dojo, it is highly unlikely that any sensei would have yellow belt (which is almost always the second level) followed by purple (sometimes as low as the fourth ranking, but more often up to the seventh or eighth rank).

6.9/10. A relatively harmless comedy. I'd say it's Schwarzenegger's third best behind Twins then Kindergarten Cop, pretend Junior never happened. Sinbad's pretty decent in it too. Perhaps one of the better social commentaries about the madness of Christmas shopping and commercialization of the 90's.
Howard: Aww, poor baby.
Trivia: The diner Howard goes into after pushing his car is Mickey's Diner in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. The same diner was used in The Mighty Ducks, also shot in Minnesota. In this film however, the interior is a set. The interior of the real Mickey's Diner is not as spacious as shown in the film.
Question: When Howard gets home late, he mentions to Liz that he got a speeding ticket. Since he was driving on the shoulder of the road, shouldn't he have got a ticket for that too?

Answer: The cop never states why he pulled Howard over, what he was charging him with or how many tickets he was issued. Howard just says, "I got a speeding ticket.' and holds up a folded piece of paper, so it's likely the ticket was for driving on the shoulder.
