The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Continuity mistake: When Edmund is sitting in the White Witch's sleigh he is eating the cakes. He switches from eating with his left hand to his right and then back to his left, dependent on the angle of the camera. (00:31:10)

StopNGo & Girls

Continuity mistake: When Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan fall through the wardrobe together, as they stand there the amount and pattern of snow on Edmund disappears, then reappears, and changes drastically between shots, while they're arguing before they head off. (00:40:40)

Continuity mistake: When Peter finds the note about the capture of Mr. Tumnus he pulls it down off the nail, ripping the top edge of the paper. In a following shot the top edge of the paper can be seen fully intact, then ripped again. (00:41:20)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When the Pevensie children leave Mr. Tumnus' home they hear noises outside, so Susan places her hand on Peter's arm and Peter holds her hand. Just before Beaver appears, in the front shot, Susan and Peter remove their hands, but in the next shot they're back on Peter's arm. (00:44:50)

Continuity mistake: There are 3 candles on the Beavers' tables during their conversation with Peter, Susan and Lucy. The middle one becomes significantly taller when Susan tells Peter that their mother sent them away from London to escape war. (00:49:45)

Continuity mistake: When Edmund first enters the castle of Jadis and he is crossing the courtyard, the statue of Oreius is visible in the background, which should not appear until the end of the movie. (00:50:15)

Suggested correction: That wasn't Oreius. That was a different Centaur. When Jadis turns foes into stone during the final battle, they don't teleport to her castle, as confirmed later when we see multiple statues in the battle field. The cut to the stone centaur in the castle courtyard is simply a transition (albeit a very misleading one).

Continuity mistake: When Santa puts his bag of gifts down on the ground, we see that there is a teddy bear and a quiver of arrows, among other gifts, in the bag. In the next shot of Santa reaching into the bag, the bear and the quiver are now next to each other when there were many inches apart in the prior shot. (01:09:30)

Continuity mistake: During and before the battle between Aslan's and Jadis' armies, the red chin strap on Peter's helmet changes position a few times. (01:43:35)

Continuity mistake: When Lucy gives Edmund the drop of potion that will cure his injuries, the cut on his lip does not heal. The potion should work on all his injuries, not just his stab wound. (02:04:00 - 02:04:49)

Continuity mistake: When Edmund is talking to Peter after they've found out that Aslan has died, Edmund has a cut on his lip for most of his close-up shots. But after Edmund says, "Aslan believed you could and so do I," in his next close-up shot, the cut on his lip has disappeared, but it reappears later.

Continuity mistake: When Peter, Susan, Lucy and the Beavers arrive to Aslan's camp and see Oreius, his body is all black. In the battle you can see that Oreius has black legs up to his knees, but then his body is brown. It's easy to see just when the Minotaur drops from Oreius's back: the stomach is brown.

Continuity mistake: After Edmund has been rescued and is talking to Aslan on the cliff, as he starts walking back to the tents, Aslan in the background is suddenly taller than him, even though he is further from the camera. In the next shot Aslan's height is normal again.

Continuity mistake: When Lucy, Peter, Susan and the Beavers speak with Father Christmas, the position of his large bag when it's on the ground, and then in the sleigh, distinctly differs between shots.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: Peter and Aslan are standing, looking out over Narnia and in frontal views Aslan is only as tall as Peter's shoulders. But from reverse shots Aslan is taller than Peter.

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Lucy first enters Narnia, her hair changes between shots from being straight and neat to being messy and slightly curly.

Trivia: After the initial credits begin (since many people leave the theatre as soon as the credits appear, they miss this), there is an additional short scene between Professor Kirke and Lucy, that takes place near the wardrobe. (02:12:25)

Question: A friend of mine noticed that despite it being winter in Narnia for a hundred years, no one's breath is visible. Is this a mistake, a director's choice (since it could've been added in post) or an element of Narnia (I am not very familiar with the books)?

Answer: It was never mentioned in the book or the movie that breath wasn't visible, so it is a mistake.
