Continuity mistake: In beginning of the dvd there is a scene where the farmer meets the sheriff and the farmer has a shotgun. When the farmer has the gun, it has hammers; when the sheriff has the shotgun, it does not have hammers. (00:05:05)

After old man Wrenchmuller dynamites the Enforcer Drone, the Martians can lift off by litterally 'Flushing' their excess. The next day, their 'flush' has produced a crop of giant vegetables in Wrenchmuller's field, allowing him to keep his farm.

Trivia: Star Ariana Richards is given an "introducing" credit despite it being the fifth film to feature her. She later clarified that it technically was her first film, but the production ran long in part due to the effects, and four other films she worked on came out first.
