Corrected entry: In the scene where Adam Sandler drives Flor to the bus stop and she jumps out, she says "Just aqui," meaning she'd just get out there and walk the rest of the way to the bus stop. But in the next scene, she has Cristina teach her the word 'just'.

Correction: Not really, what Flor says is "Ya está aquí".

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie, Christina is applying to college and in her application essay, she looks back on her childhood (presumably 8-10 years prior). This recollection of her childhood is the premise of the movie. Even though this is set in the mid-nineties, all vehicles seen are current 2004-5 models.

Correction: The part at the beginning could have been set 8 to 10 years in the future.

Continuity mistake: When Flor and Bernice hug at the end of the movie, Bernice is wet from swimming in the pool, getting Flor's shirt very wet. In the next shot when Flor is waiting for Christina by the car in the driveway, her shirt is completely dry. And finally, when she then goes to hug and say good-bye to John, it is wet again.

John Clasky: So much so, that I'm actually considering looking at you again before we finish up here.

Question: What happens to the Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni characters? Were there any cut scenes that explained it, or something? Does the marriage fall apart?

Answer: There were no explanations offered. I think the movie was far better in leaving that question, and whether or not he married Flor, unanswered. The focus was on the child and her respect for her mother - not the other relationship.
