Continuity mistake: In the scene where Max cuts down the bridge and the real scout master dives after Max cuts it down, in the backround in the top left corner you can see the scout master get up, then when the camera goes to the scout master, he gets up again.

A man named Max Grabelski needs to deliver a package to someone named Bragdon at 10am. He accidentally delivers it at 10pm and goes into Bragdon's mansion. There is a fire in the second floor and two FBI guys try to arrest him for that. The stupid FBI guy bumps into the other guy and they drop their guns. One slides over to Max and he tries to escape by crashing out of the window from the second floor. He flees to a bar and on the TV there, the news is on. The FBI guy is reporting that Max killed Mr. Bragdon. Later on, he does things to deliver the package under hot pursuit. He steals a Volvo first and then a Scout-leader Jeep. He is found and has to travel to Devil's Peak with the kids.
