Avigdor and Yentl leave town for a few days. She then reveals to him that she is really a woman. At first he is mad, then they start to profess their love to each other. They start to kiss and devise a plan to be together no matter what. But then realize what would become of the other girl Avigdor's fiancee. So the agree that Avigdor should return to her, and Yentl would move on. But they would never forget each other.
