Plot hole: The whole point of Marley and Nick's plan was to get back at Fitch, it's also revealed they have been doing this for a while in different cities. There is no way they could know what cases Fitch would take.

Audio problem: At the end, when Fitch is talking with both guys, he laughs, but from the side shot, his mouth is not moving. Seconds later, after he talks about the 110 million dollars, his mouth is not moving in sync with what he's saying.

Deliberate mistake: The investigator on his way to Garner, IN, is actually driving along Interstate I-10 somewhere between Louisiana and Florida. The shot of the freeway sign for "Gardner" is from off I-10 in the Florida panhandle and represents Gardner, Florida. The scene shot in Gardner, IN in front of Rachel Weiss' mother's home depicts the Crescent City Connection bridge in New Orleans. This scene is actually shot in Gretna, LA, on the West Bank of the Mississippi, just across from New Orleans.

Plot hole: It's a ridiculous plot error to show her paging him "money in', since it is later revealed their agenda was against the gun companies no matter who paid what.

Factual error: Nick Easter is being sequestered for the jury and comments that the Sherriff's office is across the street from the Mall on Esplanade Ave. The Esplanade Mall is actually in Kenner, which is in Jefferson Parish, but has its own Police Dept. The Kenner PD is nowhere near the Mall. The Jefferson Parish Sherriff's office does not have a station in Kenner.

Rankin Fitch: Gentlemen, trials are too important to be left up to juries.

Trivia: Everyone walks around the French Quarter drinking Starbucks coffee. There isn't a Starbucks very close to the Quarter. The closest one is also hard to find. When I'm there I usually drink Cafe du Monde coffee while walking around the Quarter.

Question: I know that Jennifer Beals is not exactly a big star right now, but I was still surprised to see her in such a tiny role...does anyone know if she originally had a bigger scene that was cut?

Answer: Jennifer Beals' role is a bit of a misdirection towards the viewer, a little like Janet Leigh in "Psycho". It misleads the viewer into beleiving she might be crucial to the plot.
