Continuity mistake: In one scene, Chucky and a girl are driving down a road when they get pulled over by a cop. The cop is surprised to see a "Good Guys" doll, and is shocked to see that its nose is bleeding. They do a close up of Chucky's nose, and blood is running from it. When they cut to the cops point of view, where Chucky and the girl are both in frame, the blood is gone. It doesn't reappear for the rest of that scene, even though no one wiped it away.
Continuity mistake: Chucky's eyes are made so that they blink and move. However, in the scene where the business man is stuffing Chucky into the trunk of his car, Chucky's face is different because his eyes are drawn onto his face. The same thing happens with his mouth throughout the movie.
Continuity mistake: When Andy is tied up on his bed, the two skipping ropes tied to his feet have green rope, but in one closeup of Andy kicking his foot about, the rope is yellow, then in the next wide shot, is green once again. (In the closeup of Andy kicking his feet he has also gained slippers!)

Continuity mistake: The small cupboard where Andy finds Chucky hiding in, in Miss Kettlewell's classroom is full of toys. When Miss Kettlewell grabs Chucky from the cupboard you can see there is a toy crocodile in it, but in the next wide shot of Andy at his desk, you can see the open cupboard, and the crocdile has vanished, along with other toys changing position.
Continuity mistake: In the room where Kyle discovers Joanne dead, beside where Joanne is sitting is a desk, with drawers open and cloth and straps hanging down. In shots, items move, the drawers are open more / less and a strap disappears. The lamp on the desk turns itself on as well.

Continuity mistake: When Kyle is pursuing Andy and Chucky, she sees them climbing onto a truck which drives off. The truck is several feet away from Kyle and while it is driving it passes by a fire truck. Kyle start running after the truck and when it cuts she is right behind the truck and the fire truck is not to be seen anywhere.
Continuity mistake: In the school cloakroom above the coats, is a shelf of dodgeballs, footballs and basketballs. Look at the arrangement of the balls when Miss Kettlewell enters the cloakroom. When Miss Kettlewell is stabbed, and crashes into the desks, you can see in the cloakroom that the arrangement has totally changed and additional items have appeared.

Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, the Chucky doll causes a worker to be electrocuted and fly backwards. As he somersaults through the air, and through the window, it is clear that in this angle he will land on his front. But in the next shot we get a close-up of him lying on his back.
Continuity mistake: When Kyle has dropped the knife to the floor she is standing by a mirror looking down to her right for the knife before reaching for it. It cuts to a closeup of the knife and Chucky grabs it before her. It cuts back to Kyle who gasps in fear, but now she is looking more to her left like everything is happening on that side.
Continuity mistake: When we watch the production of the Good Guy dolls we see that the dolls get their hair stitched on while naked. However later we see dressed dolls come out of the machine with no hair on. It makes no sense that a factory would have two different production routines like that.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film the facial features of the doll are sprayed on using a mask with cut out sections. There is no paint sprayed on the 'eyelashes' part of the mask, and when the mask is removed the doll has no eyelashes. Chucky, however, does have eyelashes throughout the rest of the film.
Continuity mistake: When Kyle manages to stop the truck, we see Andy running away with Chucky on his shoulders. It cuts to Kyle and the driver for a second before Kyle runs after Andy. In the next shot, we see Kyle running but we don't see Andy. Andy could not have run so fast that we wouldn't be able to see him anymore.
Continuity mistake: The front part of Kyle's red Ford is damaged when she is trying to get rid of Chucky and smashes into a pole. However, when she runs to her car so that she can chase the Chicago Sun-Times truck, in the overhead shot of the front of the car as she reverses, the car is intact.

Continuity mistake: When Kyle first breaks the car, and Chucky flies out the window, behind the wire fence you can see loads of barrels and crates. But when Kyle smashes the car into the fence in an attempt to hit Chucky, in a wide shot you can see all the barrels and crates have fallen over, but there are less barrels and crates than in the previous shot.
Continuity mistake: In two different places in the movie, Andy's foster parents have the same argument with the EXACT SAME dialogue, about Andy being too much to handle. Obviously, the director decided to try the dialogue in two different settings, and both scenes were accidentally left in.
Continuity mistake: When Andy, Phil and Joanne are driving, a big truck suddenly appears in front of their car so Phil has to urgently stop the car. Then you see the car has pretty much stopped. It then cuts from under the truck and you can see the car is still moving a few feet before stopping.
Continuity mistake: When the fire alarm has been set off, all of the children run down stairs, and at the end of the line of children, we see Andy who stops at the top of the stairs. When he stops you can see a girl holding a teddy going down the stairs, and she is nearly reaches the bottom. But when the shot changes, the girl is nearly at the top of the stairs again.
Continuity mistake: When Miss Kettlewell throws Chucky into her closet, on the right of her big silver desk is a black pencil pot. But in the next wide shot of the classroom, the black pencil pot has moved much further to the left of her desk. Other items on the desk, such as the sheets of paper, and books also move.
Continuity mistake: Early in the film when the Chucky doll is being rebuilt, he is put together limb by limb and has a hard plastic body. When the doll is complete and seen in later scenes throughout the movie he has floppy arms and legs which would indicate a stuffed soft body doll. The good guy doll was shown as a soft body doll several times in the first film, like when Maggie picks him up from from in front of the TV by his arm.
