Continuity mistake: Pleakley tells Jumba, "You look like a monster. We have to blend in." It then cuts to a wide view of the street, with Mulan Wok restaurant located between an outdoor produce market in an alley and Kara's Electronics store. When Stitch snarls at hearing the bike bell, in the next shot of Lilo's "friends" showing up on their bikes, we see the electronics store and the alley's produce market, but the Mulan Wok restaurant storefront is quite missing in between. Other mistake: While Nani is in Lilo's bedroom, they both see the "falling star" outside, and when Lilo tries to push Nani out of her room so she can make a wish, the left wood banister is deliberately missing from where it should be. (00:21:05 - 00:23:15)
Continuity mistake: While Lilo is listening to Elvis on the record player, Nani pokes her head through the door's dog flap and notices all the nails that Lilo hammered into the door jamb. Nani then uses the claw hammer to pull out one nail at the bottom, but the problem is that the lowest nail did not actually exist in the previous shots. (00:15:40)
Other mistake: When Nani sees Stitch standing in front of the open fridge, Stitch's shadow behind Nani is of his alien form, with four arms and two antennae. When Stitch is actually shown, he is in his "dog" form, with two arms and no antennae. (00:39:12)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie, a few seconds after Lilo attacks Myrtle, all the girls, including Myrtle, gather behind the director. Myrtle's bracelet of leaves is still on. Then, when it cuts to her, Myrtle says, "Ew, she bit me," and the bracelet is gone. (00:13:10)
Continuity mistake: When Nani brings Mr. Bubbles into her home, she spots the paper on the fridge that says "Home Alone," and she runs over to hide it. In this shot you can see that the top of the fridge is empty. Then in the next shot a green towel is hanging down off the top. (00:10:55)
Continuity mistake: When Nani discovers the pot overheating and smoking on the stove, it's a large pot with a wide handle atop the lid, but then it becomes an overheating small, flat pan with a round knob on its lid. The stove's control knobs change as well. (00:11:05)
Continuity mistake: When Nani tries to open the back door and tells Mr. Bubbles to wait outside, the back door has a door knob and an upper deadbolt lock. Then, when Nani opens this door from the inside, there is only a door knob of a different style without a keyhole, and the upper deadbolt lock is gone. As Mr. Bubbles enters the home, the deadbolt lock is back on the door. In later shots the door knob also has a backplate, and it disappears along with the deadbolt lock. (00:17:20)
Continuity mistake: When Stitch returns to the house, he runs into the kitchen and sees Lilo; behind him, there's a display shelf with plates hanging on the wall beside the doorway. After Jumba is knocked off his feet by the explosive roller-skate rag doll, Jumba removes the display shelf from the wall and uses the plates as weapons against Stitch. Then he sets the shelf down on the floor amidst the debris. Jumba and Stitch continue fighting, and a few shots later, while Lilo tells Mr. Bubbles about the aliens wanting her dog, the display shelf with its plates is once again hanging on the wall. Continuity mistake: While Jumba is in the house searching for Stitch, Lilo helps Stitch hide a small explosive device inside Scrump, the rag doll. When Stitch pushes the roller skate with Lilo's doll across the floor, in the close-up the skate's two buckle tongues are on the right, but in the next shot the tongues are on the opposite side. Continuity mistake: At the Galactic Federation HQ, when Captain Gantu begins to read the charges against Jumba, in the first shot facing Jumba, note the buttons on his jacket; in the following shots, Jumba's buttons switch to the opposite side. (00:00:30)
Continuity mistake: In the kitchen, when Mr. Bubbles kneels down beside Lilo, his "COBRA" tattoos are on the knuckles of his right hand. However, when he removes his sunglasses, those tattoos are missing in the close-up, and in other subsequent close-ups showing his right hand, such as when he confronts Nani about being jobless. Trivia: When the roller skate with Scrump explodes and Jumba falls backwards, if you pause at the right time, you will see that the shelf on the wall has five hooks on it. Continuity mistake: When Jumba fires his plasma blaster at Stitch, the little alien catches the plasma, then throws the plasma ball at Jumba's head, where it bounces off and hits the record player, which begins to play "Hound Dog." Two shots later, when Jumba says he loves this song, a lid support hinge now appears on the record player, and its power cord is gone, etc. (01:00:10)
Continuity mistake: Following the visit from Mr. Bubbles that did not go well at all, when Nani starts to chase after Lilo, just as they enter the kitchen we see the fridge. After Nani catches her sister, when Lilo tells Nani to sell her and buy a rabbit instead, there are more pictures up on the fridge that were not there during the chase. (00:19:55 - 00:21:00)
Continuity mistake: During Nani's job hunt, Lilo's speaker has a brand emblem on its front just as they all enter Mrs. Hasagawa's produce market, but then it vanishes. The "Gilligan" emblem reappears when Lilo hands Stitch the guitar at Kiki's Coffee Hut, and it vanishes again at the beach. (00:42:25 - 00:43:05)
