Character mistake: On finding Harman's dead body in their caravan, Charley says 'You called it, kid'. Great line, but Harman didn't call it. Charley, in fact, called it by giving his address to Jewell., who passes it on to Molly, who then goes to kill both Harman and Charley if he can.
Charley Varrick (1973)
1 character mistake
Directed by: Don Siegel
Starring: Walter Matthau, Joe Don Baker, Andrew Robinson, Felicia Farr
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the film when "Molly" is chasing Varrick's aircraft, the front fenders of his car have miraculously repaired themselves having been stoved in earlier when he crashed into various other cars in the scrapyard as he first went for the kill.
Charley Varrick: It has to do with this bag of money I'd like to give back to you.
Maynard Boyle: So give it back. What's the problem?
Charley Varrick: The problem is the big gorilla in the maroon car who's trying to kill me.
Question: The police find the accomplice's body in the trailer. In the last scenes the same body appears in the trunk of the car before it explodes. How did it get there if police had discovered it earlier?

Chosen answer: The police never find Harman (the dead guy). Charley was hiding outside the trailer when Harman was killed and he's the one who found him and took his body. When the police bust into the trailer, no one (dead or alive) is there.
