Continuity mistake: When Brody walks out of the bathroom with a towel hanging over his left shoulder, he opens Mike's bedroom door. Between shots the position of the towel over Brody's shoulder changes, as you can tell by the designs on it. (01:06:45)

Visible crew/equipment: When Brody is checking out his reflection in the small kitchen mirror, he turns around and his wife walks through the doorway into the kitchen. Above the doorway you can clearly see the whole boom mike, pole and all, which is quickly swung up out of view. (01:07:15)
Visible crew/equipment: On the morning after Brody is fired, when his wife gets up from the kitchen table and talks to their house keeper, the shadow of a crew member holding a boom mic can be seen on the wall on the right side of screen, while the shadow of the boom mic is visible above the doorway. Continuity mistake: When Eddie gets the blanket out of the wooden box for Tina, there is a large board of wood sticking out of the wooden box. In the next overhead shot it has vanished. (01:10:10)
Continuity mistake: When Eddie gets the blanket out for Tina, on the small "Tina's Joy" boat, the sail jumps from being on his left side, to his right side suddenly, between shots. (01:10:10)
Revealing mistake: In the shot of Eddie falling backwards out of Tina's Joy into the water, his hair is wet before he hits the water. (01:10:15)
Factual error: When Tina's Joy is rammed, the boat moves away while turning. The boat, given the rate it was turning at and angle of the wind, should have tacked (the sail should have swung to the other side), knocking Tina out, but when it cuts away and cuts back, the boat has mysteriously stopped turning, and not tacked. (01:10:15)
Continuity mistake: When Eddie is floating the water, after being knocked out of the boat by the shark, in one shot we see his hair is totally soaked and is flat. But in the next shot it is drier and now curlier. (01:10:30)
Revealing mistake: When the teenage guy is getting attacked by the shark, the shark slams him up against the boat. He attempts to climb back on the boat and the shark pulls him down and the guy rips some wood from the edge of the boat. You can see the cut away part of wood that will be ripped off before he actually rips it off. (01:11:05)
Revealing mistake: In the overhead shot, when the shark is going under the "Tina's Joy" boat, you can see the shark is being driven by a propeller as the water behind it foams. (01:11:20)
Continuity mistake: After Tina yells that the shark is still there, we see her placing her hand on Ellen's shoulder. When it cuts to Brody getting off the sailboat Tina has her hand on Ellen's hip. (01:18:20)
Continuity mistake: When Bligh is in his boat, pumping it up with his foot, he changes from using his right foot, to his left foot and back to his right foot between shots. (01:19:15)
Continuity mistake: When Bligh is pumping the patch up on his inflatable boat, when it shows a close-up of it, there are empty black hooks underneath it. Yet when the patch bursts, there is now white rope running through the previously empty hooks. (01:19:25)
Visible crew/equipment: As Doug is pumping air into his boat, there is a close-up shot of the boat puncturing. If you look closely, you are able to see the explosive patch hidden where the puncture appears and the wire leading to it. (01:19:30)
