Alien: Romulus

Factual error: When Rain shoots the Xenomorphs in zero gravity, their blood forms long ribbons and other splatter-type patterns. In reality, due to surface tension, liquid in zero gravity forms into spheres. The blood would not have remained 'stretched out' like it does.

Factual error: Andy explains that the facehuggers "see" by reading body heat. His plan is to raise the ambient temperature of the room to body heat levels so our heroes are invisible. This would not work. If the temperature of the room was at body heat levels, the human body would generate heat faster than it could expel it, which would cause the body temperature to slowly rise. Our heroes should still be visible to the facehuggers, if not more so than before.

Factual error: When the gravity is "turned off" in the spaceship, objects immediately begin floating. This would not happen. They would remain in their original position until an external force acted upon them.

Continuity mistake: This film takes place after the events of "Alien." At the end of "Alien," the Nostromo is vaporized in a massive nuclear explosion, but in this film, massive chunks of it are found floating in space. Not to mention the fact that even if such giant pieces survived, they would have been propelled outward indefinitely and would not all be floating in the same confined area.

Trivia: When the Xenomorph lands over Kay, director Fede Alvarez asked for a bucket of cold water to be thrown at Isabela Merced to obtain a better scare face. Isabela says she was not informed earlier that they were going to throw cold water on her, so the face you see in that scene is her real face of fright trying to catch air because of how scared she was.
