Continuity mistake: The morning Josh becomes big, one of his sneakers in the bedroom swaps from being underneath the bed by the coat sleeve, to half a meter away in a different position.

Big (1988)
Plot summary
Directed by: Penny Marshall
Starring: Tom Hanks, John Heard, Robert Loggia, Elizabeth Perkins
At a carnival, young Josh Baskin (HANKS) wishes he was big - only to awake the next morning and discover he is! With the help of his friend Billy, Josh lands a job at a toy company. There, his inner wisdom enables him to successfully predict what children want to buy, making the awestruck, naive Josh irresistible to a beautiful ladder-climbing colleague. But the more he experiences being an adult, the more Josh longs for the simple joys of childhood.
Trivia: The big piano scene was actually rehearsed months before shooting. Tom and Robert had to practise on a cardboard cut out with exact dimensions of the real piano. On the day of shooting there were stunt doubles instead of them to film their feet. But once the director saw that they could do it, the stunt doubles were never used.

Answer: When Josh started at the toy company, he torpedoed Paul's skyscraper transformer by saying 'I don't get it.' Paul is returning the favor.
