Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Continuity mistake: When the Duke and Gonzo are driving to Vegas in the beginning, they debate whether to pick up the hitchhiker. They drive past him and then about 10 seconds later decide to stop. But when they finally stop and the camera pans back, they are only like 10 feet from they guy. Since you know they were speeding, they should have been like 1/4 mile past him by then.

Factual error: At the second-to-the-last scene, where Duke sits in the chaos of the hotel room and reflects on the hippie and drug culture he is surrounded by, there are three television screens. One of those screens - the one right in front of him - shows a tank driving from right to left. This tank is recognizable as an M1 Abrams, which entered service not before 1980. (01:46:00)

Continuity mistake: When Depp is getting to the airport at the end, the sun angle changes a number of times. The side shots looking at the car show it going down. Moments later, the sun is higher in the sky.

Continuity mistake: At the restaurant during the end of the film, they arrive at nighttime. When the scene ends moments later, the sun is starting to come up. Not enough time has passed. It would've been evident through the windows behind the actors.

Visible crew/equipment: During the beginning as the camera is moving all around the car, it comes along side. The reflection is visible on the front near the driver's side tire.

Visible crew/equipment: Depp walks into a room and trips over a woman. At the start of this scene, the camera is moving left to right. On the very left side of the screen near the corner is a piece of the camera. Its either part of the lens, or something attached to it.

Visible crew/equipment: The clapperboard is in the back seat of the car when Del Toro starts driving - bottom left corner.

Dr. Gonzo: I hate to say this, but this place is getting to me. I think I'm getting the Fear.
