Continuity mistake: During the third course, as the waiter is describing the wine he's pouring for Margot and Tyler, Margot's hands go from up by her face to down instantly between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When the chef asks Margot about eating the "breadless bread plate," he fakes a smile and walks away. However, when this happens, his facial expression changes 100% instantly between cuts. He goes from a closed-mouthed forced smile to grimacing with his mouth partly open instantly.
Continuity mistake: When the "business bros" are asking for bread during the second course, the man in the tan shirt's arm goes from being on the table to raised by his face and vice versa several times between shots.
Continuity mistake: When the "business bros" are asking for bread during the second course, the man in the tan shirt goes from having his mouth closed and looking somewhat solemn to suddenly smiling and chuckling between cuts.
Continuity mistake: During the second course, when Lillian mentions making her own yeast from apples, Ted goes from taking a sip of wine to holding the glass about a foot from his face instantly between cuts. The camera then cuts again and he's suddenly placing the glass down.
Continuity mistake: During the first course, when Lillian and Ted are having the pretentious conversation about the food being "thalassic", she sets down her fork and her hands are empty, but a few shots later the fork is suddenly back in her hand for a shot.
Continuity mistake: During the first course, after Margot jokingly tells Tyler to "eat your rock," her hand is in front of her mouth. The camera then cuts and she's instantly lowered her hand about a foot down between edits.
Continuity mistake: During the first course, when Tyler asks Margot about the chef, Margot makes a comment about how it doesn't matter if the chef likes him. Around this time, she starts to take a bit of food and has her fork by her mouth. The camera cuts and suddenly her hand and the fork have vanished between cuts and she's already chewing.
Continuity mistake: When the movie star's assistant is trying to resign, she lays down her phone. She then starts to dig through her bag, but in the very next edit, she's instantly lying down her credit card on top of the phone.
Continuity mistake: As the tour group is being led to the restaurant door, the three goats following Elsa are in a different position between cuts. Two are suddenly walking away while the third goes from right behind her to near the back of the group.
Continuity mistake: When the tour is being led to the restaurant, Margot sarcastically asks, "There is food at the end of this, right?" Tyler is suddenly in an entirely new position between cuts. He goes from about two feet away from Margot and laughing to his side, to right next to her looking in a different direction and not laughing.
Continuity mistake: When Elsa is giving the tour and leads the group to the meat-smoking hut, as they approach the door, both she and the tourists are suddenly much closer to the front door after the first edit. You could argue this was done for the sake of time compression, but the problem is, they are having a continuous conversation throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: When Tyler offhandedly mentions that the movie star "thinks" he's a foodie on the boat, he starts to turn his head away from Margot. The camera cuts, and he's facing her again and turns a second time.
Continuity mistake: When the movie star George Diaz gets onto the boat at the beginning and makes a few bad boat jokes, his assistant Felicity is holding her purse. From shot to shot, the height she's holding it constantly changes. In some shots, her hands are above her belt line; in others, they're below, etc.
Continuity mistake: When Lillian and Ted walk down the ramp in the opening scene, Ted first has his hands on the railing. Then in the wide shot, he's hovering his hands over the railing and drops them to his side. When it cuts back to the close-up, he's suddenly holding the railing again, then lets go and drops his hands to his side a second time.
Continuity mistake: When Margot and Tyler argue about her smoking, when Margot says "Come on," she tilts her head to her left. It then cuts to an over-the-shoulder shot, and you can see her tilt her head from left to right. When it cuts back to her, her head is tilted to her left again.
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, Margot and Tyler are having a minor disagreement about Margot smoking. When Tyler is talking about how Margot will "ruin her palette", you can see Margot has her cigarette up by her face. She starts to lower it, but when it cuts, it's nowhere near her head and is entirely below frame. There's not enough time for her to have finished lowering it in the few frames between cuts.
Continuity mistake: During appetizers, John Leguizamo's assistant puts her work phone on the table to let him know she is resigning. Leguizamo is holding his glass when the camera is behind him, and a spoon when he's seen from the front. (00:13:10)
Continuity mistake: During the fourth course, after the gunshot happens, all the blood on the floor and kitchen bench disappears when the plates are about to be served. (00:42:12)
Suggested correction: This is simply because they very quickly and effectively clean the kitchen bench off-camera. That is why the man was standing on a sheet and they covered the open kitchen with a screen to catch the blood spatter. The blood on the counter was minimal and there was hardly any blood on the floor.
There isn't enough time for them to have cleaned it. All the blood is clean literally seconds later, and you can see in the background that nobody is cleaning. It's a legitimate mistake. Some of the blood on the bench (and counter) just disappears.
