Continuity mistake: At the start of the third course, as the movie star and his assistant start talking about her leaving, you can see the food critic and her editor. In this first shot, only one of their wine glasses is full. Immediately in the next shot, we see them in the background and both of their glasses are full. Additionally, her editor's glass goes from sitting on the table to being in his hand between this same cut.

Continuity mistake: At the start of the third course, as the older couple is talking about how Margot keeps looking at them, the husband has his wine glass on the table. It then cuts to an angle towards his wife, and about 1 second later, we see the husband's hand dip into frame as he sets his wine glass down. There is not enough time for him to have lifted his glass and taken a sip in the one second he was offscreen.

Continuity mistake: During the first course, after Margot jokingly tells Tyler to "eat your rock," her hand is in front of her mouth. The camera then cuts and she's instantly lowered her hand about a foot down between edits.

Continuity mistake: During the first course, when Tyler asks Margot about the chef, Margot makes a comment about how it doesn't matter if the chef likes him. Around this time, she starts to take a bit of food and has her fork by her mouth. The camera cuts and suddenly her hand and the fork have vanished between cuts and she's already chewing.

Continuity mistake: As the tour group is being led to the restaurant door, the three goats following Elsa are in a different position between cuts. Two are suddenly walking away while the third goes from right behind her to near the back of the group.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When the tour is being led to the restaurant, Margot sarcastically asks, "There is food at the end of this, right?" Tyler is suddenly in an entirely new position between cuts. He goes from about two feet away from Margot and laughing to his side, to right next to her looking in a different direction and not laughing.

Continuity mistake: When Elsa is giving the tour and leads the group to the meat-smoking hut, as they approach the door, both she and the tourists are suddenly much closer to the front door after the first edit. You could argue this was done for the sake of time compression, but the problem is, they are having a continuous conversation throughout the scene.

Continuity mistake: When Tyler offhandedly mentions that the movie star "thinks" he's a foodie on the boat, he starts to turn his head away from Margot. The camera cuts, and he's facing her again and turns a second time.

Continuity mistake: When the movie star George Diaz gets onto the boat at the beginning and makes a few bad boat jokes, his assistant Felicity is holding her purse. From shot to shot, the height she's holding it constantly changes. In some shots, her hands are above her belt line; in others, they're below, etc.

Continuity mistake: When Lillian and Ted walk down the ramp in the opening scene, Ted first has his hands on the railing. Then in the wide shot, he's hovering his hands over the railing and drops them to his side. When Tyler is talking about how Margot will "ruin her palette", you can see Margot has her cigarette up by her face. She starts to lower it, but when it cuts, it's nowhere near her head and is entirely below frame. There's not enough time for her to have finished lowering it in the few frames between cuts.

Trivia: A great deal of the food in the movie was actually elaborately made props, since real food would spoil very quickly after sitting out under hot stage lights. The cheeseburger Anya Taylor-Joy eats was one of the pieces of real food the production made. The rest of the cast was a little jealous she got to eat a real burger while they pretended to eat fake food. John Leguizamo ordered 5 Guys at the end of the day so everyone could enjoy a burger.

Question: During the fight scene between Margot and Elsa, there's a moment where Margot rolls over a counter and falls to the floor. The shot where she lands on the floor looks very unnatural, as though Margot was green-screened into it. She doesn't seem to blend into the background properly, but also casts an accurate reflection on the metal beside her. Did they paint out a crash mat she landed on or something?
