Smokey and the Bandit III

Continuity mistake: During the film, but mainly noticeable in the Buford/Bandit scene with the Sherrif crashing into ice, the wheels on Bandit's Trans Am change. Most of the time they are a solid black wheel, then they change into a gold wire-spoke alloys.

Continuity mistake: When Buford's car is buried under sand, the left headlight is gone. Later after the bar, it's back in place.

Movie Nut

Continuity mistake: After the Bandit (Cletus) takes the fish from Buford's car, every wide camera shot shows the fish in the middle of the Trans-Am's hood, but any close-up camera shot of the passengers for that vehicle has the fish missing.

Continuity mistake: After Buford jumps through the milk truck trailer, the left front quarter panel is gone, and the bumper is loose. A few minutes later, the car is whole and undamaged.

Movie Nut

Continuity mistake: While 'skiing' (up on two wheels), Junior alternates between holding on to the light bar and the top of the car.

Movie Nut

Continuity mistake: When the white cop car is rolling over, the driver's side rear door is open, and ripped off. As it settles, the door is back in place.

Movie Nut

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Buford's car is getting towed from the alley the side of the tow truck is marked with "Star Towing" but in the ensuing chase we see the other door reads "Scott's Towing"

Deliberate mistake: When Cletus is driving the Trans Am as the bandit, it shows him driving to the left and waving at a group of girls. The close up of him driving must be reversed because it looks like the Trans Am is now a right-hand drive. (00:26:45)
