Continuity mistake: When Daniela is putting Killian to bed, in the shot of her saying "I don't understand you, Dad", Killian's right hand is shown touching the side of her face, but in the next shot, his hand is suddenly off her face. (00:05:15)
Continuity mistake: When the snake is in the truck, in the shot of the guy saying "Get up there and kill it", the snake is entirely inside the truck, away from the edge. It cuts to Killian, then back to the snake, but now it's over the edge of the truck. It cuts back to Killian again, but when it cuts to the guy with the whip, the snake is suddenly back inside the truck, away from the edge. The guy runs up to the snake (the snake still inside the truck), but in a close-up, the snake is over the edge again. (00:18:28)
Continuity mistake: Whilst Clarence and Daniela are giving Killian a bath, in the shot of him looking confused at Clarence, Daniela's left hand is off Killian's shoulder, but when the shot cuts, her left hand is suddenly on his shoulder. (00:04:28)
Continuity mistake: When Clarence and Daniela are in Killian's office, Clarence picks up a photograph on the desk. In the close-up shot of the photo, she is shown lifting it off the desk, but when it cuts to a wider shot, the photo is only lifted about an inch over the desk. (00:03:48)
Continuity mistake: Just after Basila smears the paint over Killian's face, in the shot where he says "It's what I want", some of the paint can be seen on his left cheek. A couple seconds later, in the shot where Basila says "Then I must talk first", the paint on his left cheek, as well as some of the paint on the side of his face, has decreased. Continuity mistake: When Killian and Basila are standing on the beach preparing for their wedding ceremony, Basila spreads paint over Killian's neck, shoulder and arms. In the shot where she says "It's not valid before the law", there is some paint on Killian's cheek and it is mixed in with the paint on his neck. In the above shot when Simon first runs up to them, the man holding the torch places his arm over Simon's upper chest. In the next shot, his arm is over Simon's stomach. Continuity mistake: When Killian is in the car with Julia and Bisila and are about to approach the soldiers blocking the road, in one shot his hand can be seen placed on top of the steering wheel. Continuity mistake: In 1960, when Killian is speaking with Julia in the shop, the shot after Killian says "I don't know" after being asked if Jacobo is coming back, the baby Julia is holding has her left hand over her mouth. The shot then cuts to a wider shot of the room and the baby's hand is now away from her mouth. (01:31:55)
Continuity mistake: When Bisila is speaking to Julia about a friend of hers named Gustavo who came to the church, after Julia tells her he was arrested months ago, the camera cuts to a shot focusing on Bisila. In this shot, her hands are folded. But in the next shot, her right hand is suddenly touching her face. (01:32:57)
Continuity mistake: When Bisila meets with Killian in the barn, the two begin walking at opposite ends of the barn in sync with each other. When Killian begins to walk, he puts his left hand on a support beam. When the shot cuts, his left hand is at his side. (01:38:50)
Continuity mistake: When Clarence attempts to speak with Simon in the barn, in the shot where she says "Ask him if he's Simon" to Iniko, her ponytail can be seen going over her left and right shoulder. In the next shot, her ponytail can only be seen over her left shoulder. Then in the shot after that, her ponytail is entirely behind her head. Then it's over her left shoulder again, then away from her shoulder. (01:21:30)
Continuity mistake: When Killian reunites with Simon, in the shot where Killian says to Ose "Do you want independence as well, like Simon and Gustavo?", Killian has his right arm extended and his hand placed on Simon's arm. When the shot cuts, Killian's right arm is at his side. (01:27:15)
Continuity mistake: After Iniko tells Clarence that Simon never swore to speak her language again, Simon replies "Sometimes I'd prefer not to, though" and Clarence turns to face Iniko asking what's he saying. Continuity mistake: When Clarence is on the dance floor with Iniko, he places his hand over Clarence's eyes. Clarence then places her fingers flat over Iniko's hand.
