Plot summary
Based on the classic American novel about the four March sisters. Jo (Saoirse Ronan) is an amateur writer in New York.Meg (Emma Watson) is a financially struggling housewife, Amy (Florence Pugh) is studying painting in Paris with her Aunt March (Meryl Streep) and Beth (Eliza Scanlen) is a shut-in still living at home. Jo travels back to their home town in Massachusetts when she receives word that Beth's health has taken a turn for the worse. Jo reminisces about her early life.
