Beth dies. Laurie and Amy get married. Amy and Jo reconcile. Aunt March also dies and leaves her mansion to Jo who decides to turn it into a school. Jo writes her novel and it is certain to be a hit, but she is forced to change the ending so that her heroine gets married. The book ends with the family celebrating Marmee's birthday. The book is published and it is confirmed that Jo March and Louisa May Alcott are the same person.
