Factual error: The plane that Diana and Steve steal from the Smithsonian appears to be a mix of the fuselage, wings and tail of a Panavia Tornado F3 and the cockpit of an F-111 Aardvark. This class of aircraft has a maximum range of about 1,000 miles, meaning they would never have been able to fly it to Egypt without refuelling. Given that they stole it, it's unlikely they would have been able to call in an offscreen refuel during the flight.

Factual error: When Diana first brings Steve into the DC Metro, the modern-day signage visible inside L'Enfant Plaza Station is not era-appropriate to 1984. It includes markers for the Green Line (opened in 1991) and Silver Line (opened in 2014), and all markers are shown with printed abbreviations, which were not added until the Silver Line opened. Diana Prince: Nothing good is born from lies. And greatness is not what you think.
Trivia: At one point during the movie Wonder Woman uses her lasso to move around by riding the lightning. This is a reference to the Metallica album "Ride the lightning" which came out in 1984. (02:04:00)
Question: How did Antiope know Diana cheated? Why allow her to compete in this contest if she wasn't allowed to train, at first, in the previous movie?
Answer: In the first movie, Diana was much younger and unready to start combat training. In the second movie, the flashback scene takes place some years after that, and Diana has since grown and been in training. During the competition, there were observers along the entire course to ensure that everyone followed the rules, attended to any mishaps, etc. If anyone cheated or failed to complete the required tasks, it would immediately be reported to Antiope.

Answer: The competitors had to light up the cloth banner beacons using their bows and arrows. Diana finished the course but missed one blue beacon by taking the cave shortcut, so the general grabs her and disqualifies her.
