Revealing mistake: In the beginning of the movie, when Hellboy is speaking on the phone with "Dad", he's speaking on on speaker, but when the phone shows up, instead of showing a screen of a call on speaker with the duration on the call, the screen shows what would appear if he was receiving a phone call before accepting or declining. Hellboy came to our world in 1944 and is from a fallen angel. The Third Reich had long tried to gain an advantage in the war in many ways. Including creating a race of super soldiers. In doing so they were hoping to attract the ideal soldier to the ranks of the German army. Hellboy is exactly the one they need, but they never manage to make their plans a reality. The creature from hell fell into the hands of Americans and began to serve them instead of the Germans. This time he is sent to England to meet face to face with the monster he has been dreading his whole life.
