Continuity mistake: In the bridge scene, Willis is seen without his crutch as he looks over the bridge at his fallen cousin. They cut to him beside the bridge and he has his crutch.

Continuity mistake: If you watch in the beginning of the movie you will notice during the car chase that various parts of the suspect's car fall off or get torn off and then in other scenes the parts are back on.

Continuity mistake: When Hardy is in the boathouse working with the map, the pen he lies down on the map changes positions as the camera angle changes and he never touches it.

Continuity mistake: During the various police car chase scenes one minute they would be in Mount Oliver in Pittsburgh, and the next minute they are in Mount Washington.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning, during the car chase, the Ford LTD they are chasing loses its front bumper, grill and several headlights. It even runs over the bumper causing a large spark display. But in the next shot the car just has lost two headlights.

Continuity mistake: In the car chase, when the cars go into the tunnel, Bruce Willis passes a taxi cab and several other cars, but then in a shot from the front you can see through the rear windscreen and see that there are no cars behind him.

Continuity mistake: Immediately after Hardy puts the taser in Jimmy's mouth, Hardy is bald.

Continuity mistake: During the first car chase scene, you can see that 5 hubcaps are seen coming off the truck from the left side throughout the scene.

Continuity mistake: When Bruce and Sarah stop the drinking kids in the fast speed boat, they confiscate a bottle of scotch. BW opens the bottle to smell it, then the scene goes to the partner and back to him and he UNSCREWS the top and dumps the liquor over the side. He opens the bottle twice.

Continuity mistake: When Hardy is waking up in the boathouse, after Jimmy jumps off of the bridge, look at the table with the alarm clock and phone on it. When he first wakes up there are no keys on the table. Camera angle changes and a set of keys has appeared on the table.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film, during the car chase, Willis is not wearing his seatbelt; it is hanging loosely next to him. A little later it's suddenly on, with no time for him to put it on.

Continuity mistake: Jo is wearing a shirt and shorts when she boards the boat with Tom Hardy. Then she's wearing a red bathing suit and shorts as they chase the teens in their boat. Then she's wearing the shirt and shorts when the pass the large tugboat.

Continuity mistake: When they are chasing the suspect, Tom rams into the suspect's car and the driver's side hubcap flies off. Tom's dad says "pull up to him." He aims at the car with his gun and the hubcap is back on.

Continuity mistake: The damage to the front of the bad guys' car in the opening chase changes considerably between shots throughout the whole chase.

Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, at the end of the car chase the murderer's car both cars flip multiple times and the trunk flies open. However, when Bruce Willis sees his father on the gurney dead, cops open up the trunk and a body falls out.

Continuity mistake: When the fleeing suspect's vehicle broadsides a pickup truck, the front bumper falls off (chrome and two rubber bumpers) exposing the bumper support underneath, and the two driver's side headlights are completely gone. After the car goes over a bridge, the front of the suspect's vehicle is shown again and the bumper is back on the car, the chrome and two rubber bumpers are intact, along with the headlights. Then as the car takes a left, the right front side of the vehicle has the hood popped up, and different damage to the driver's side.
