Solo: A Star Wars Story

Corrected entry: At the end when the fuel is being refined Beckett is talking to Solo in the middle of what looks like pointed rocks coming out of the ground. On top of the rocks are metal loops - their only purpose must be for a crane to lift them into position for filming.

Correction: They're not random rocks - they've clearly been placed there, they're shaped regularly, they have smaller ones surrounding them, and they've got symbols carved onto them. At a guess it's a graveyard - as it's a specifically-arranged area it makes sense that they'd have loops on top as they'd have to be maneuvered into place somehow.

Corrected entry: Solo wins the Falcon at the end and consequently all the money and the coaxial on the table. Then goes off to work for a gangster (supposedly Jabba) - with all that money, he really would not have to work for anyone for a long long time. (02:05:35)

Correction: It's not just money he is wanting. He wants to make a name for himself, to have adventures and get into danger. Solo is a very cowboy like character. He wants the thrills and also is greedy and would want more money. On top of that, you can't be exactly sure the amount of money he has of what it could get him and where. He may want things in other places that that amount wouldn't get him yet or may mean nothing.

Revealing mistake: When Chewy puts his hand on Han's shoulder at the end, Joonas Suotamo's finger is visible through the fur.

Question: How did Han and Chewie get off the desert planet at the end?

Answer: Or they could've hitched a ride with the Cloud Riders.

Answer: By the end of the movie, Han and Chewie have been left with some items of worth, plus their smarts and charm. We don't see how exactly but we can assume that's enough to get them into their next adventure.

Answer: I would classify this as the traditional movie serial "cliff hanger" ending where the audience is purposely left pondering what happens to the protagonists and must wait until the next installment to learn the outcome. Considering Solo underperformed at the box office, there is the possibility there may not be another independent Han Solo film. However, the characters would likely reappear in another stand-alone Star Wars film, thus answering how they escaped their situation.
