Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen are exposing Owen Case at the OCTA party, as Lula says "He's mocked your privacy. He scorned it", she is standing facing the audience and is mostly covered in stage light. Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen are onstage at the OCTA party, Dylan opens his iPad and notices a tarot card on it. In the close-up shot, when the tarot card is first shown, it can be seen slightly passing over the edges of the iPad, but in the shot previously, Dylan is opening the iPad, but the tarot card is nowhere in sight. It would have been visible even from the camera angle that was shown. (00:22:45)

Continuity mistake: When Walter begins hijacking the Horsemen at the OCTA launch, Dylan says "let's go to the back", and the FBI director tells him to stay here. There is a bald FBI agent standing in front of him to the right, but in the next shot, the FBI agent is suddenly behind him. (00:24:15)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: Jack is shown wearing a security guard uniform throughout the entire infiltration of the launch party. When the party has been intercepted and Jack is exposed to everyone, he is still shown wearing the security guard uniform, but when the Horsemen are on the roof minutes later, Jack is suddenly back to wearing his leather jacket and T-shirt. Even if this is needed for the story and some time had passed between scenes for him to change, Jack was being chased by the FBI and was in a hurry to escape the building, so he would not have had anytime to change back, nor would he have risked wasting any time changing his clothes anyway. (00:24:35 - 00:25:30)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Dylan is exposed as the fifth Horseman, Cowan grabs him with both of his hands against Dylan's arms and pushes him up against a wall, before proceeding to handcuff him. A few minutes later, when this same scene is shown on a news broadcast, Cowan is shown putting his left hand on Dylan's bag just as he is pushed against the wall, which wasn't shown the first time. (00:25:05 - 00:29:20)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: Just after Cowan handcuffs Dylan, he pulls Dylan back so that he can face Natalie. When he does this, he places his hands on the side of Dylan's shoulders. The shot cuts to focus on Natalie, and Cowan doesn't move his hands, but when the shot cuts back, his hands are on top of Dylan's shoulders. (00:25:10)

Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen are escaping the OCTA party, Merritt starts accusing Daniel of being the lead Horseman and removes the microphone headset he is wearing. The shot then cuts to an angle behind Merritt, and the microphone headset is suddenly back on his head. (00:25:40)

Continuity mistake: When Merritt is explaining to Daniel, Jack and Lula that they are in China, he starts saying "I think where we are right now, they don't refer to it as Chinese food." In this shot, he is standing beside Lula, maybe a few inches ahead of her, but in the next shot, Merritt is suddenly a couple more feet ahead of her. (00:27:20)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Chase tells the bodyguards to remove the Horsemen from the restaurant, he says, "I'm not gonna let you guys yuck my yum," and turns his head downwards to the left while shooing them. In the next shot, he is standing upright again and his head is facing them directly. (00:28:35)

Casual Person

Character mistake: When Dylan answers his phone asking "Where are you?" assuming it is the Horsemen, it is revealed to be Thaddeus telling him where he left him 18 months ago, referring to being framed at the end of the first movie. The first movie ended with Thaddeus being framed one day after Mardi Gras, which would have set the first movie in late February or early March. The events of this movie take place days before New Years Eve in December. The two events are closer to 21-22 months apart, not 18 months. (00:29:45)

Suggested correction: Thaddeus says "right where you left me, 18 months ago." Thaddeus could have been referring to how long he has been in prison following the transfer after a conviction, not the time since the cell scene in the first movie.

Audio problem: When Chase is hypnotising Merritt with the pizza box, just after Merritt lands on Chase's shoulder, Chase begins speaking into his ear. In the shot from behind Chase that focuses on Merritt, Chase is heard speaking to him, but his mouth is not moving. (00:32:15)

Continuity mistake: When Walter tells the Horsemen to follow him, he turns to the left and begins to walk away. When he realises they aren't following him, he turns his head around to face them, while his body remains turned away from them. In the next shot, when he says "Follow me" again, he is facing them directly. Then in the shot after that, he turns away from them, with his head turned towards them. (00:35:28)

Arthur Tressler: Hell is going to seem like a day at the spa by the time we're through with these Horsemen, wouldn't you say?
Walter Mabry: You had me at "Hell."

Question: I thought that the chip they stole was fake? Why did Walter think it is real? Hypnosis?

Answer: Walter thought the chip was real because he placed it under a scanner and the scanner confirmed that the chip was real. However, given the fact that later on it was revealed that the whole plane sequence was a set up, it is probable that the device used to scan the chip was actually a fake that was used to make Walter believe the chip was real, most likely throw him off guard.

Casual Person

Answer: It is revealed later on that Allen Scott-Frank, the man from the Macau Science Center, where they stole the fake chip from, was working with The Eye. He likely anticipated their arrival due to being in contact with The Eye and planted a fake chip into the system, allowing the Horsemen to steal it. This fake chip was likely designed to trick a scanner into thinking it was real.

Casual Person

They stole the real chip but lost it. That's how they were able to recognize the one they currently had was fake.
