Continuity mistake: Jules is helping Ben set his Facebook page. When she asks about religious views and such, Ben's bottle of Stella Artois on the desk faces opposite directions between shots. Then he tells her that he finds her inspiring. She drinks her beer as she replies, and the label directly faces the camera under both angles. (00:53:45)
Other mistake: Setting up Facebook, Jules asks Ben about his favourite music. He starts answering, and unless she typed "Sam Cooke" twice and added De Niro's initial exclamation "Jeez" as a musician, she started typing too early and pressed too many keys - besides, you can tell that Anne Hathaway is just doing 'the thing' people do in movies when they go all jazz-handsy over the keyboard pretending to type. Continuity mistake: In the sequence when Doris nearly has a car accident with her boss, the different angles are shot at totally different times of the days, as made evident by the shadows of the foliage on the asphalt. (00:58:40)
Continuity mistake: Ben has been transferred back to his original position, much to Becky's dismay. Jules drops by to check on the relocation; she is holding the corporate coffee cup with her hand in a different position on it depending on the shot. (01:00:45)
Character mistake: Ben convinces Becky to let him work with her using the line he heard from Jules' mother, but he says it wrong; she said that women who sleep less than 7 hours per night are 38% more likely to gain weight, and De Niro says that they gain 38% more weight - kind of a big difference. (01:02:45)
Other mistake: Jules is watching the activity on their website in real time with her staff, over a map of the United States. It's a map that dynamically changes every few moments, with the views stat increasing by a few units per second, and icons of shopping carts popping over the map. That's in close-up, because when Ben arrives and the screen is in the foreground slightly out of focus, the page is static, no new views and no little cart landmarks for the duration of his report. Continuity mistake: When Ben reports the purchase patterns, as soon as he says "Thats...what I could tell" there's a jump in continuity, since his hand is no longer at the back of the folder but on the part closer to his chest, and the women in the background have changed position too. Worth noting also that Jules in the foreground is holding her pen with both hands but will be in a different position in the next shot. (01:03:40)
Continuity mistake: The morning after having taken Davis in, Ben is having breakfast again with Jules' family. Paige asks him to pour her more syrup. The syrup De Niro pours spreads nicely over about a third of the pancake, but in the reverse shot there's barely a smidgen. (01:06:00)
Continuity mistake: Jules is telling her 'sister wives' about the interest from the San Francisco CEO. She picks up the cream to add to her coffee, which she is holding using the mug's hand. Camera cuts away on Matt, and while she is still holding both the mug and the creamer in mid-air, she managed to switch the grip on the mug to the opposite side. (01:06:25)
Continuity mistake: Jules is in the car, dealing with the 'zoom button' crisis. She asks Ben for the analytics of friends shopping together, and the phone rings. In close-up, she's reading the report (which, incidentally, is full of stuff that fails to make any point whatsoever) in an inner page, but in the shots before and after she has yet to open it. Continuity mistake: Jules is interrupted by the bedbugs call while she is in the middle of typing the mail insulting her mom. She stops at the word "normal." She resumes typing, adding "ish", but meanwhile the mail also gained a subject, which was blank earlier. (01:08:30 - 01:09:00)
Continuity mistake: In the sequence when she realises she sent the mail insulting her mom...to her mom, Jules' fingers completely switch place on the phone from the close-up to the other angles. (01:09:20)
Continuity mistake: When Jules walks into the emergency meeting with the tech guys saying "Hey guys, thanks for coming", seen from behind she has her fists down her sides, from the front she's rubbing her hands in front of her chest. (01:09:25)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the fetch quest for the computer, Davis in the opening shot of the car is sitting in the back seat, the belt away from the collar of his shirt. Close-up and the collar is all squished against the seatbelt. (01:10:30)
Continuity mistake: The gang is celebrating with tequila shots after the successful heist. There's a supposedly diegetic song in the background at the bar, but if you look at the moment they gulp down the liquor, after the cut they must have performed other actions - for instance, Davis put the lime inside his own glass. (01:14:45)
Continuity mistake: When Jules at the bar asks "What are your names again?" she does it pointing her finger at the interns. Immediately after, she has both hands open and palms up. (01:15:25)
Continuity mistake: At the bar, Jules addresses Lewis and passes him the second tequila. Lewis picks the lime slice with his right hand, but in the next shot he is holding the glass in his right and the lime in his left. Similarly, Davis' glass is capped by the lime and then all of a sudden it is not. When she calls the shot saying "Salut!", the camera angle is the same as the first time and so Davis' lime is back and Lewis' switched back to the original hand too. Anne Hathaway's tequila switches hand a moment later as she goes "Boys, what can I say", as well. (01:15:55)
Audio problem: Jules had one drink too many and she falls back slurring "Thanks agaaaaain" - her lips however don't move, it was dubbed over. (01:17:40)
Continuity mistake: When Ben and Fiona walk together inside the funeral home, in the first wide angle of the interior, Fiona is holding the program facing towards her, and the first person (the closest to the aisle) on the back bench to the left is looking to his right, engaged in conversation with the couple. Cut, and Rene Russo is holding the paper making it face outwards, and the guy is looking forward, on his own. (01:19:40)
Continuity mistake: When Ben's friend Miles goes "Wowza!" at his hot funeral day, Ben's tie is inside the jacket, while it's over the jacket in the rest of the scene. (01:20:05)
