Question: The tour guide, Mary Beth, is revealed to be La Muerte and the elderly security guard is revealed to be Xibalba. The museum scene appears to take place in the United States while the story, the majority of the film, obviously takes place in Mexico. If the museum is in the United States, then why would La Muerte and Xibalba go to such a country and disguise themselves as U.S. Citizens?
Chosen answer: Probably their goal is to tell as many people around the world as possible about Manolo and co.'s story so that they will continue to be remembered.
Answer: Maybe they just wanted to share the story and have people remember the heroes of San Angel.
Question: When Manolo and Joaquin start fighting the wild boar, General Posada only sees Joaquin confronting the boar before he is knocked unconscious. Thus, he never sees Manolo fighting the boar like a matador. When the general recovers, he believes Joaquin defeated the boar and not Manolo. Despite the townsfolk being impressed by Manolo's action, why does no one, including the nun who thanks Manolo for saving her life, speak up and tell the general what actually happened? Why don't they confirm to the general that Manolo fought and defeated the boar?

Question: When Chakal demands Joaquin to relinquish the medal of eternal life, he merely says to him, "Give me that medal right now." Maria then removes Joaquin's medal sashes, sees the medal of eternal life, and realizes that is what Chakal is after. How does she know which medal Chakal is referring to?
Answer: She saw the medal, realised that it was different from all of the others, and that he didn't want to talk about it either, so that probably made her realise that it was special or different.
Question: Why didn't Joaquin's father appear in the movie when he was remembered by the townsfolk? Shouldn't he be in the land of the remembered as well?
Answer: I believe the reason is that his dad isnt dead but wants the town to believe he is. I believe Chakal is his dad many things in movie suggest so.
Jorge R. Gutierrez has already confirmed that Chakal is not Joaquin's father, but might actually be his uncle.
Question: All of the deceased people rose from the Land of the Remembered to battle Chakal and the banditos. However, shouldn't they have been given their life back because they did?
Answer: No because they are not alive, they are still dead. They are only allowed to be in the living world because Xibalba, La Muerte, and Candle Maker allowed it.
Answer: The medal doesn't affect his age, it makes it so that he lives for a really long time and doesn't die.
