Divergent

Continuity mistake: As Tris is doing her first fight session, she dodges her opponent's hit and the majority of her hair is shown going over her shoulders. In the next shot, it's now only a few hair strands over her shoulder whilst the rest of her hair is resting along her back. (00:36:00)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Tris is on the zip line, after she does her flying impression and passes by a building, the shot returns a close-up of Tris where there are strands of hair being blown across her face. Next shot, her face is free of any hair strands. (01:01:30)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: At the choosing ceremony, people cut themselves on the hand and put it in the bowl of each section they want to join. However, when Tris chooses Dauntless, the bowls look clean and the knife is clean. There hasn't been enough time to wash them.

Question: Before Tris went on the zip line, why didn't anybody tell her there would be obstacles in her way that could have killed her if she didn't avoid them?

Dano

Answer: There aren't really obstacles. On a zip wire, there isn't really much scope for manoeuvrability. You follow the wire.

Answer: That and they do crazy stuff like this all the time so not telling her about these obstacles is keeping in character as they leap into everything seemingly blindly.

Rob245

Answer: That was the Dauntless way - you have to be prepared for the unexpected and meet the challenge. Just because her team won does not mean the competition is entirely over, nor can one assume it's an easy ride to the finish line.
