Plot hole: In one scene Eric Stoltz throws an angel out a window. This angel then lands on the roof of a parked car, bounces off as another car runs into him, smashing him against a stainless wall. Now, this is a blind street, a dead end, so why would anyone race like this?
Continuity mistake: In the church scene when Simon takes Hawthorne's soul, the flag draped over the casket changes from shot to shot. (00:15:08)
Continuity mistake: In the scene after Simon has been beaten by Gabriel and they are talking, Simon's hair is different every time it shows him - sometimes in his face, sometimes brushed back, sometimes brushed to the side.
Continuity mistake: Lucifer's pose changes slightly between wide shot and close-up during his infamous "mother's feces" speech. (01:14:45)
Continuity mistake: When Lucifer confronts Thomas, Lucifer forcefully pulls him closer and puts his right hand on his chest, but the close-up shows that his hand is under Thomas' arm. (01:21:20)
