Continuity mistake: After the teens parked their vehicles facing an embankment (which was about twice as high as the vehicles' roofs), they walked up the hill to the diner (which wasn't visible). Somehow, one of the teens sitting in the diner was able to see James' SUV being stolen, so they ran outside and down the embankment. Continuity mistake: When Private Connors got out of the front passenger side of the truck, there were no orange "cones" visible in front of the truck, but there was a toppled one after a camera shift that should have been visible earlier. Also, there was a toppled orange cone and an upright one behind the truck, which were not there when the truck was approaching that spot on the road (and would have smashed both had they been there when driving through that section of the road). Continuity mistake: Leila places Stephen's wallet in the corner of the tray, practically aligned with both sides, but the wallet is at an angle when she places his keys on the tray. (There's no indication that she bumps the tray or wallet when she sets the keys on the tray.) (01:06:20)
Continuity mistake: There are orange traffic cones about 3' from each side of the front bumper of Sarah's car, but they are not always visible when they should be. In the right-rear view of the car, the left cone is not visible, but the car cannot conceal it. The traffic cone is visible before Aden is walking around the front of the car, but not when he is walking to the door. The tip of a cone is visible some distance opposite the rear passenger door, but cannot be the one near the front bumper. (00:01:52 - 00:02:55)
Continuity mistake: The bite marks on Doc's sandwich were inconsistent/contradictory. Doc took a corner bite out of his sandwich, then the sandwich was shown with an additional side bite mark (made off-screen?). When the sandwich was shown again, the distinctive bite marks were gone and the side of the sandwich that had been eaten was straight across. Doc was holding the sandwich in his right hand; after another camera shift, Doc was holding the sandwich in his left hand and the unique side bite mark was back. (00:18:22 - 00:18:48)
Continuity mistake: Isaac told Christine he would give Elijah his phone back and grabbed it from her. Isaac had the phone in his right hand when he turned to go out the door. When Isaac came out the front door, he was not holding the phone in his hand and it did not look like the phone was in any of his pockets. Isaac had police equipment around his belt (not the phone). Continuity mistake: While driving to Harper's house, Jordan did not have the sun visor down, but it was down when she was backing up after she passed Harper's house, #237. The sun visor was not down when Jordan was going down the driveway to the house. (00:17:15)
Continuity mistake: When Riley and Trevor are "play fighting" in Trevor's apartment at the beginning of the film (right before Trevor explains his plan to rob the storage unit), a cigarette suddenly appears in Trevor's hand between cuts. (His hand was empty in the previous two shots and he had made motions indicating he had put the cigarette down on the table before that).
Continuity mistake: The car behind Julius is at various distances. It is closer when the camera is on Julius than when it switches (back and forth) to his passenger, Margot. (00:02:39)
Continuity mistake: After Sophie got into bed (with her arms under the blanket), the first and last shots showed her long curly hair sprawled over her left chest area. In-between shots showed her hair hanging along the side of her left shoulder. (00:24:30)
Continuity mistake: Esther (Leena) was wearing white ribbons in her hair when she went to and returned from Dr. Segar's office. When her dad took her inside to go to his studio, Esther was wearing blue ribbons in her hair and had on different clothes. Esther did tell her dad that her dress was ripped, but the flow from outside to the studio did not give the impression that they stopped somewhere in the house for Esther to change before going to the studio. Continuity mistake: Overlooking the sudden drop from 1:02 to 0:17 seconds on the countdown clock, the one-second interval beeps are not accurate. In the countdown from 10 seconds, there are approximately or precisely 10 beeps, then the countdown clock shows 4 seconds remaining. (00:19:55)
Continuity mistake: Inside the building, Nina is at different distances from the man on the bench, ranging from about one body's width to a few widths away (while accounting for her limited movement). (00:15:15)
Continuity mistake: Diana is holding the calling card from Ispettrice Bajani in her left hand and her cane in the right hand when she gets the denim jacket. The close-up shows her right hand, with no cane, tucking the card in the jacket pocket. (00:39:30)
Continuity mistake: The amount of wine in Annie's glass (as well as Nic's) decreases then increases without her adding any. Annie had almost one-half a glass of wine when she poured some into Nic's glass, then it was closer to one-fourth full. A little later, Annie's glass appeared to have the amount she initially had when she approached Nic. (00:13:59)
Continuity mistake: When Harry wrapped Lily's ankle injury, there was bloody wrapping below the duct tape. When Karl asked to see Lily's leg, there was no blood showing on the material below the tape. Also, Harry did not completely cover the ankle injury with duct tape like he did to keep creatures from smelling the blood on Lily's stomach cut, questioning why the creatures could not smell the blood on Lily's ankle. Continuity mistake: Before Eamon hung his jacket and hat on the nails, there were three nails close together near the right side of the board. When he was hanging his jacket and hat, there were only two nails, which appeared to have more distance between them. When the camera shifted, there were a couple nails protruding to the left of the hat. The single nail that was on the far left side of the board turned into two nails. (00:04:38)
Continuity mistake: Stan (Grandpa) gets impaled in his upper left arm by the metal jack part. The front of his jersey's short sleeve is saturated with blood, almost to the orange stripe near his shoulder. Helen goes to see her dad's injury, and Stan's upper shirt sleeve and shoulder are free of blood, but the lower part and his arm are covered. (00:12:09)
Continuity mistake: Solomon put the rope around his waist underneath his coat, but when he was walking through the woods the rope was tied over his coat. Also, the knot would start out in the front of his left side but change to behind his back even though the rope was loose (not taut) behind him. (00:01:55 - 00:02:26)
