Continuity mistake: When Charlie gives Ellie a rose, the stem starts out long, but when he puts it into a cup the stem is half the size.

Continuity mistake: When Alex and her boyfriend are going up to the play gym, her hair style changes. It's crimped as they are walking up, then changes to straight when they are taking Hunter home.
Continuity mistake: When Selene gets to the parking garage, she is wearing her skin tight outfit and is only armed with her guns. But from out of nowhere, she suddenly pulls out a grenade. Her outfit has no pockets and it was not attached/hanging from her outfit.
Continuity mistake: When Arthur and the dog are returning from the graveyard, the dog stops to sniff at something and Arthur walks ahead a couple of steps, leaving the dog behind him. The shot changes and the dog is now in front of Arthur.
Continuity mistake: When Lincoln is hacking down the tree, he manages to chop a big part of it, but when he gives the final blow, before the tree sort of explodes, there is not a single scratch on it.
Continuity mistake: Running from the bullies, Taylor steps on a garden rake which pops up and nails him in the face, making him fall over backwards. The rake lands at his feet, but some distance from him. A couple shots later as he's trying to get up, the rake is suddenly beside him. (00:37:30)
Continuity mistake: At the battle of the bands Ryan's car is smashed by Tyler and his friends, specifically the windscreen and headlights. When Elissa drives the car minute later, it is in perfect condition. It's also in perfect condition when Ryan later reverses it into the garage.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Victor's mother is looking at his chalkboard in the attic, Victor's drawing of Sparky has the word "Alive" above it. Later on in the film, when Toshiaki, Edgar, Bob, Nassor and Weird Girl go into the attic, the word "Alive" is missing from above the drawing of Sparky.
Continuity mistake: When Emily is standing in front of the swing, in a back view of her, her legs are close together, in her front view her legs are farther away.
Continuity mistake: His best selling novel changes in quantity on the shelf in his office. After he signs a copy for the officer they increase in number, and lean one way then the other.
Continuity mistake: After John's tracking device is removed there is blood on the back of his T-shirt. The amount of blood varies from when he gets on the boat until he gets to the underground shelter.
Continuity mistake: When Tiffany is coming down the stairs from the porn shoot at the hotel, and bumps into the evil Santa, the first shot of her looking back up as she stands next to her vehicle shows the driver's window completely down. As the camera pans back up to the Santa going up the stairs, and then back to Tiffany, the driver's window of her vehicle is completely up.
Continuity mistake: The man with one arm in the projector slides shows his right arm removed below the elbow. The next slide shows his left arm missing, and then it goes back to his right. (00:35:34)
Continuity mistake: At the end, the heater is on a chair when Sally chucks the locket on to it. After the spirit has been banished the heater is now on the floor.
Continuity mistake: After Ray jumps off the boat to remove the chain from its tether, in the following wide shot, the chain is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: After the funeral back at the house, Nicole's sister Annie goes to the bathroom and undoes her belt to sit down to pee, but when she hears a noise and stands up and pulls her pants up, her belt is buckled.
Continuity mistake: After Mike has set the tent up they go for a ride on their snowmobile to check the scenery out. They come uphill parking the snowmobile facing upwards. They get up looking at the scenery, and a few shots later the snowmobile has suddenly turned 180 degrees facing downhill. (00:13:40)
