Other mistake: When Stan and Kathy call out the Top 10, they only call out 7 names, leaving out Miss Nebraska, Miss Vermont and Miss Ohio, who are also part of the Top 10. (01:23:45)
Other mistake: When Nia Long and Martin Lawrence are sitting in the boat on the water, talking about Jascha Washington. You can see a fisherman in the background, but if you look close enough, you can see it's a fake person. (00:55:35)
Other mistake: At Natalie's house, when she is leaving and Lenny is taking a picture of her, the background looks totally different than from what is shown on the picture: the curtains are opened wider, the door is half open, there is a lamp on the left and there is no mirror on the wall. Other mistake: When Memphis and Kip are hiding from Johnny B and his crew in the cafe following the ambush, Memphis devises a plan to make good an escape. He sends Kip out to use the tow cable on the heavy tow rig to destroy Johnny B's Mercedes. First angle shows a cable wrapped around a rear A-arm of the vehicle and the hook connected to the cable, the next shows a hook directly attached to the front axle, which is the one that gets torn from the Mercedes when the tow rig pulls away. Additionally, a different cabling rig and loose cabling used in the stunt are strewn behind the car. So even if Kip somehow made 2 connections without being seen or heard, the rear rig is different than the one shown in the first shot. (00:51:00 - 00:53:00)
Other mistake: In the scenes after Giovanni Ribisi is arrested, his looks are constantly changing. In scenes where he is talking to Vin Disel his face is very fat. When he walks by Abby's desk he is thin again. If you get Boiler Room on DVD you'll see an original ending where Ribisi is thin all the way through the end of the movie; Because Giovanni was preparing for a film that required him to gain 30 something pounds, the scenes that needed to be reshot for a different ending are very defined.
Other mistake: The girls paint their van with brushes before heading off. When the van is being driven later in the film as they make their getaway, it's obviously been airbrushed, as it's too smooth a paint job.
Other mistake: At the beginning of the third chapter ("El Chivo y Maru"), when the Comandante and Gustavo are driving to see Chivo, the Comandante says to Gustavo, "Make a right here."; however, Gustavo ignores him and never makes a right. He just keeps going straight.
Other mistake: In the fight scene outside Trish's apartment, Jet Li kicks Maurice so he gets a scar on the right side on his lip. Later in the American football sequence you can at one shot see that he has the scar on his left side of the lip and in another shot it's completely gone.
Other mistake: The radio station had no power or telephone lines anywhere in the vicinity, and the lines would not have been buried in 1937. A telephone is seen on the wall inside the building, yet it couldn't have been connected to anything. There wasn't a generator to power the radio transmitter, because it would have had an exhaust pipe through the roof, nor was there any adjacent building to house a generator.
Other mistake: When Bullet-Tooth Tony goes to 'open the dog' in order to get the diamond out, and then Vinny confesses that he has it, the dog starts to go crazy and in one scene proceeds to pull Sol's jacket off. If you look at Bullet-Tooth Tony's face, he is laughing at how crazy the dog is (this would have been a real-life giggle because the character is quite serious at that moment in the film).
Other mistake: The Mexican newspaper that Michael Douglas is reading in the helicopter has a headline where all of the accents are missing. No newspaper, even a cheap one, would make such a typo error. (01:27:35)
Other mistake: When Honey Whitlock throws a grenade during the shoot at the Baltimore Film Commission meeting, you see the explosion before the grenade actually falls all the way behind the wall that the explosion supposedly comes from. I think the pyrotechnics guys let the explosion off a little early.
Other mistake: When the airbags are deployed on the "indestructible" Peugeot they stay inflated, making it difficult to get the driver out of the car. Comedic effect aside, real airbags do not deploy when the vehicle is stationary or hit by a hand on the roof and also begin to deflate immediately after deployment due to the gasses cooling and leaking out of the vent(s) in the bag. A previous correction speculating about modified airbags cannot be proved and is irrelevant as they are a legal safety feature of the vehicle and cannot be modified.
Other mistake: At the beginning, the police say, "Mona Deary is dead." But how do they know that? The car isn't hers, it's her son's, and it's in the water. It's only when the car has been dragged out of the water that they can see the true picture.
Other mistake: At the beginning of the film, when the door lock is being picked, it is the deadbolt that is being picked. When the door opens you can see that there is no space for a deadbolt in the door frame. (00:06:40)
Other mistake: When they've duct taped the cop to the x-ray machine to check the outcome of the procedures Oz did on his teeth, there is no film in his mouth as the machine takes the x-ray. (01:17:20)
Other mistake: When Caleb and Luke are stealing the snake weather vane, when they fall into the moat, you can see the snake floating. This weather vane is presumably made out of metal and should sink like a rock but you can see it floating when they fall.
Other mistake: Joe's wife is on the phone for only a couple of seconds both times, there is no time at all for Joe's mother to tell her that she had a visitor that Joe was looking for and that he was an engineer of sorts, she barely had time to say hello.
Other mistake: When Gino gets shot and killed, the gun that shoots him isn't being held at quite the right angle... the way it's aimed, the bullet should have gone to the right of him, but instead he reacts as though he's been hit in the head. (Given it's a super low budget movie, they probably just didn't have enough time or money for a second take).
