Factual error: When Ratcher's F16 has a system failure, he reports that both his engines are out, but F16s are single engine aircraft.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the boys are fighting in front of the "Avalanche" ride which Medusa has sped up, Amanda hits the emergency stop button and accidently stops the ride upside down. In the very next shot it shows one of the boys fighting in front of the ride, and the ride is now moving.
Factual error: Peter McCabe escapes the operating room partly by turning his oxygen supply into a flamethrower. 100% oxygen makes everything extremely flammable, but it cannot be lit like a flamethrower.
Continuity mistake: As Buddy and the kid pull away in the car for the first time, Buddy is staring out the right side of the car. The shot cuts to a different angle and he's looking more toward the left.
Continuity mistake: Sandra and her strong man are pursuing Jack and Bridget. They almost catch up to them and bang up both sides of their wagon in the car chase. Bridget and Jack escape, with eventually Sandra and company in pursuit a way behind them, tracking them on an alien computer. When they reach the power plant where Jack and Bridget are, their car has no damage at all. (01:18:20 - 01:29:05)
Plot hole: Batman finds at Belson's home a handwritten list of substances needed for a transplant. Why would Belson, a medical authority in the field that knows those things thoroughly, even write a list down? If it's for Freeze to procure him the material, why would it be at his house and not with him, and when did he even have time to be at home to do that, since he has been kidnapped by Freeze when he was driving on the outskirts of Gotham and taken to the oil rig? If he had time to go home, he at least would have changed clothes, he's still in the tuxedo he wore when he was kidnapped the night before.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, the writer seeks out one of the locals, and finds him in a corn field digging up pot plants that marijuana growers are trying to grow in his corn field. There is only one problem: It is supposed to be Spring, but the corn is all brown, thus it really is fall or early winter.
Revealing mistake: McClaren breaks out of a building through the picture window. The glass breaks not as a normal window would, but fragments, as if it were sugar glass or similar. It's really obvious.
Factual error: The Pearl Air airplane has US registration. Yet it is supposed to be a charter airplane in Australia.
Continuity mistake: When Nick and Casey go into Ballpean's flat, nick is frisked by the bodyguard, who finds no weapon on him. Casey refuses to be searched. When a fight breaks out, Casey pulls out two pistols, so we understand how he smuggled them in, by refusing to be frisked. However, Nick pulls a machine gun out from under his jacket. There was no way he could have smuggled this in without the bodyguard catching him when he frisked him. It's a big gun too, which would have made it even more obvious if he tried to smuggle it in.
Factual error: When Lee is attempting to take out Serb/Croat mobile SAM launchers, he opts to fire Sidewinder missiles. The Sidewinder is an infra-red homing air to air missile that requires a heat source to lock onto. Knowing that there was the possibility of SAMs at the target area, his aircraft should have had a HARM loadout. The HARM locks on to the radar guidance system of a SAM launcher, and remembers where it is, even if it is then shut down.
Factual error: When the command module, with the engine shut down, is in earth or lunar orbit or in trans lunar coast (external shot), you hear a rumbling sound. It's in a non powered coast, so there shouldn't be any engine noise.
Factual error: The brothers are in a hotel room. Joe Newton is seen counting money using a "Baby Calculator." This particular calculator was manufactured by the Calculator Machine Company of Chicago, starting in 1939. The Newton gang's crime spree was from 1919 up until 1924 when they robbed the train outside of Chicago, so he was using a calculator that didn't exist yet. (00:30:30)
