Question: Why did Queen Bavmorda need a ritual to get rid of the child? Why didn't she simply kill the baby on the spot?

Answer: Bavmorda's ritual was the Ritual of Obliteration - a spell that is used to destroy a living spirit's essence or soul. Presuambly if she'd just killed Elora, the soul would have been later reborn into another baby.

The Land Before Time picture

Question: How did Littlefoot's mother die, when she had so few injuries, but the Sharptooth lived after falling the height it fell. At this point in the movie a earthquake happens, splitting the earth open, and creating cliffs. Littlefoot's mother threw the Sharptooth off of the cliff to save Cera and Littlefoot's lives. But falling of a cliff wouldn't just knock you out, it would kill you. The Sharptooth had no ill effects from the fall, except for being knocked out.

Chosen answer: Littlefoot's mother has obvious grievous wounds on her neck and back. She also quite possibly has internal injuries as well. It's also possible that Sharptooth had many injuries as well, but was able to heal better or just fought through the pain because of hunger. Or perhaps he fell in ways that lessened injuries.

The Adventures of Baron Munchausen picture

Question: When Baron Munchausen and his cohorts clean out the Sultan's vault, the Sultan's horrified Treasurer crosses himself in the Catholic fashion. But, in this film, the Sultan is head of the Ottoman Empire (a Muslim empire), and the closest members of his court (such as his Treasurer) would surely be Muslim. So the treasurer's Christian gesture stands out as unlikely, at best. This seems to be a character error, but was it intended as a deliberate joke? If so, what was the joke?

Charles Austin Miller

Answer: The Baron is a teller of tall tales and massively exaggerated stories, so it is all from his limited point of view. The Ottomans did have Christian members of staff, especially doctors and such but the treasurer would never be a non-Muslim.
